DeepSeek sets up Hong Kong companies

Chinese artificial intelligence startup DeepSeek has reportedly established two private limited companies in Hong Kong after its AI Assistant became one of the top three free applications available on Apple's App Store in the United States, according to mainland media Cailianpress.

The two companies – Deepseek Limited and Deepseek (HK) Limited – were officially registered in Hong Kong on February 5, Cailianpress reported, citing Qichacha’s information.

The tech firm has also successfully registered several trademarks for the DeepSeek brand, with international classifications that include social law, design research, and scientific instruments, the report said.

Meanwhile, DeepSeek’s data shows, that just 20 days after its launch, it has amassed 20 million daily active users, making it the fastest-growing company globally in terms of DAU.
